Francesco Calzona: Slovak National Football Coach

Early Life and Career

Francesco Calzona was born on 24 October 1968 in Vibo Valentia, Italy. He began his football career as a player, but later transitioned to coaching.

Slovakia National Team

In the summer of 2022, Calzona was appointed as the head coach of the Slovakia national football team. Under his guidance, the team has shown significant improvement and qualified for the 2024 European Championship.

Italy National Team

In February 2024, Calzona was announced as the new coach of the Italian national team. He will take over the reins from Roberto Mancini and will be tasked with leading the team to success in future international tournaments.
